据SBS报道，仁川市方面表示，在最初设计这座塔时，他们在世界各地寻找了各种塔的设计来借鉴。宣传影像中的塔的形象只是鸟瞰图，因此很难讨论设计模仿问题。该宣传片设计部门也表示，该塔的最初设计以仁川八尾岛灯塔和仁川气象厅为蓝本，并未模仿或参考广州塔。

此外韩国媒体还发现，另一座建筑K-ube文化馆的推介广告也疑似盗用了“重庆观音桥3788”LED巨幕的广告内容。

对此，仁川市政府回应：的确使用了“重庆观音桥3788”LED巨幕的广告画面，但已经购买获得了版权，引用展示一下没有任何问题。

此外，还有网友指出，韩国在2023年底发布的2030年世博会园区规划方案，其中有建筑设计与中国北京鸟巢十分相似。
